Variables
Black-headed Grosbeak
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with annual
precipitation more than 1134 mm and June maximum temperature
(hex. med.) of more than 15 C. Secondarily, it occurred in hexagons
with annual precipitation 359-1134 mm. Also occurred
disproportionately in hexagons with annual precipitation 303-359 mm
if number of land cover types is more than 6. The logistic regression
analysis showed positive or negative association with stream density,
elevation (hex. avg.), the extent of public land, April precipitation
(hex. max.), and-to a lesser degree-April maximum temperature
(hex. max.), May maximum temperature (hex. max.), and topographic
variation.
